And I didn't even have to remove my shoes! The exquisite artistry strung in wooden beads speaks volumes of a vibrant culture. One can vicariously imagine the pulse of,say, a market on the outskirts of Accra where I might haggle good-naturedly over the price of her creation with Elizabeth Alorchie-Apetor! These earrings are so lovely, the amber is beautiful and so well-made but I am so sorry to say that I have to return them because my fingers are not able to work with the tiny screws that secure to the end of the posts. They are really really small. I tried a traditional backing but the posts are too short to support that. I should have paid more attention to the design details.
