My stepson and his wife honeymooned in Mexico two years ago, and they went back last year for their first anniversary. Work obligations kept them from making it back this year, so we thought we'd send a present that would bring a bit of Mexico to them. They absolutely raved about this mask! They are both artists who appreciate beautiful work. And it arrived in a very timely manner, too.

This is a breathtakingly beautiful vase, of far higher quality than anything I saw in Oaxaca City, even at the government-run art store. It's very special. The colours go with any flowers I could put in there, though I think calla lilies are the most complementary. Because this is earthenware, it can break. I keep it in a display cabinet when I don't have flowers in it, and treat it with the care it deserves.

This bird sculpture is breath-taking! The artistry is clean and crisp, with vibrant colors and beautifully executed craftsmanship. I'm a potter and do a lot of color with very detailed work, so I really appreciate and marvel at the incredible talent here. I have a house full of art from local artists and artists from Central and South America, and this sculpture gets more comments than any other piece of art. It's large and quite a show-piece.
