I really like these lacquer boxes for their unusal shape (square, oval and round being the norm) and the intrincate and minute brushwork of the painting. It is delicate and minimal at the same time to cumpliment modern and minimalist interiors.
I love my dark blue box that has very detailed artistic lines drawn all over it. I have placed my favorite earrings inside of it. I want to thank the artist who shared their talents to create this beautiful box.
My great grandparents immigrated from Ireland to America because of the potato famine in the mid-nineteenth century. My father worked as a railroad engineer early in his career. He would have liked these iron bookends upcycled from railroad spikes. Bravo!
