I bought this for my son's girlfriend and she just loves it! The stone is encased in the silver in such a way that you get the full effect of the beautiful opal. I'm sure she will be able to wear it with so many outfits because the style lends itself to variety.
looks more flat than hammered...the hammering is subtle. beautiful craftsmanship.
Stone looks faceted, and with more color variety in the photo, it is not. A deep blue cabochon is more like it.
That being said, it is quite pretty and fits perfectly!
