This whimsical tree of doves just spoke to me. The combination of whimsy, artistry, the peaceful symbolism of tree and doves, gives a lift to my heart every time I look at it. I loved all the colors but had to make a choice…maybe someday I will buy more and make a forest.
This substantial little turtle is more a fine example of alebrije without having the slightly menacing look of many of them. the detail is amazing, and the expression on its face is wonderful - both knowing and olayful. The colors fit well with current decor while retaining a folk art feel.
I have now collected multiple pieces from this most gifted artist that keep my books company. The figures are simple and graceful, and the glazes used are lovely. My thanks to Duangkamol for sharing her talent.
