Day of the Dead

Day of the Dead

The vibrant tradition of Dia de Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a Mexican celebration honoring departed loved ones with joyful festivities. Sugar skulls, Catrina sculptures, paper banners, alebrijes, and bright orange marigold flowers are used to decorate colorful altars, which are the centerpiece of this unique tradition.

A family treasure

This large Talavera Jack-O-Lantern is beautiful, and my favorite for Fall decor. With a lighted candle -or small plug-in electric one- it adds fun and soft brightness to our Fall evenings. I got a second one as a gift for my daughter who loves it as much as I do

Colorful Beauty!

This alebrije is amazing. I bought it to add to may collection of Marina Lozano"s beautiful work. I tell my 7 year old grand daughter that these will be her's someday...and that they are not toys but works of art.
