The small area around the carnelian stone is matted to set off the stone to good effect; where as, the remaining silver has finish with shine to reflect light. Color of stone is dark, but not as dark as the photo in order to be able to see color. Light weight. Happy with purchase.

I love these earrings. They are bright, happy, and beautifully crafted. I have never gotten so many compliments on a pair of earrings. They have just the right amount of sparkle to be feminine without being overdone for everyday wear. 'Delhi Sunset' earrings are small, youthful looking, pretty earrings. The color of the carnelian is not as pictured, not as red. The color had a red shade, but more subdued even under light, but still attractive. The carnelian on the pendent necklace (same name as the earrings) has a color that is darker than the earrings, though it is the same shade and therefore, can be worn together. Good value.
