One of my first ever orders from Novica was a hummingbird in mushrooms by Yudi Suardi. This one has the same clever use of the beak to give the sculpture a feeling of dynamic motion, and it's neat because you don't usually see baby hummingbirds in art.
This is a nicely carved wall piece that complements another Novica heron carving. The workmanship is very fine, the selection of the wood nicely complements the design, and it looks lovely on the wall.
It is much taller than I thought it would be. I bought it for my nephew who loves skateboarding. He even helped the city design a old skateboard park that the city was redoing.
