Beautiful hand carved nativity

This beautiful piece now has a permanent place in our living room as a reminder of our vacation in Peru. We saw it while shopping but it was not until I found the Novica web site and read about the company and the artist (John Barrow) that we decided to make the purchase. For past two years have hosted a "Nativity Open House" with depictions from many countries/cultures. I especially like the cultural reference of the hat shop below. Just as many of us learn the story of room made for the Holy Family in the animal's shelter, this shows room made for the birth and adoration of Jesus where a family makes their livelihood.

I get so many compliments on it it is the most beautiful lapis I have ever worn And the great part about it is has my cross in it you don't even know you have it on it's so comfortable and it stays in place and doesn't slide around your neck the cross is always right in the middle where it belongs I'd like to congratulate this Craftsman she did absolutely beautiful work and I would not hesitate to buy anything else from her ! Here is a picture of my beautiful blue lapis unfortunately you can't see the blue as well because of where I'm standing in the light but it also has beautiful gold flex in it Again her craftsmanship is outstanding I'd say 20 out of 10 ! I only take it off to shower !
