I’ve visited Guatemala a couple of times and now that I live in an apartment with a protected front door, I could finally get this. It is extremely well made and so colorful. It brings back fond memories and celebrates the Guatemalan people. I can occasionally share any troubles with it too. :)
I bought this to hang on my doorknob (inside) so I can hear the door open and close...works great and looks pretty.
The hanging loop is a little small for a standard doorknob as it was meant to be a mobile or wind chime to hang on a hook, so I just use a ribbon of my own, to tie it on the doorknob.
Beautiful batik! Orange hues on two of the women's skin tones were more orange than I would have liked, but all in all, a very beautiful piece of art!!
