I purchased this coiled snake as well as the cobra wooden sculpture and I am so glad I did! I have never seen such craftsmanship in a wood carving. These snakes look as though they required intense labor and incredible mastering of the wood carving craft. I walk by them many times during my normal day and each time I look at them and am in awe at the presence they elude...at times I find it unbelievable that someone could carve with such realism, such complexity, and with a beauty that was given to these creatures by our creator as only he/she could do...

This was the first item I put on my personal wishlist when I discovered Novica in 2018. In 2020 I decided to purchase it for myself as a birthday gift and could not possibly be happier with it! I absolutely adore the character story provided about the symbolism of the necklace. As another reviewer has mentioned, Mariana Llanes is a truly talented artisan! 'Siamese Snakes' earrings are as pictured. Not a high shine finish which is how Thai Hill tribe jewelry should be, but does reflect light. It took me a while to finally decide to order these earrings because the design for these earrings was not the usual. Would they look good when actually worn? Happy surprise! Not outrageous, just have a somewhat oval shape with stamped design, medium size, feminine, pretty, fun to wear. Not flimsy, solid. Design finesse exhibited by varied thickness in earrings (less thickness at ends). I also purchased additional jewelry by Achara: bracelet, 'Fern Wrap' and ring, 'Thai Sunbeams'. I wear all 3 items together, gives a coordinated look. Wear with casual and semi-casual outfits. Happy with purchases.
