Will water damage my hammock?

While occasional exposure to water will not damage a hammock, excessive contact can lead to mold and mildew. Nylon hammocks are more weather-resistant than cotton hammocks; and hammocks with wooden stretcher bars may suffer damage from moisture to the wood bars if left outdoors. Most important for hammock care is ensuring that a hammock is properly dried after getting wet. For hammocks without spreader bars, it is useful to place a stick or broom across the width of the hammock to hold it open and ensure proper drying.

Are hammocks bad for my back?

How do I hang my hammock?

How do I clean my hammock?

Simply remove spreader bars, shake excess dirt and debris from the hammock, and tie end strings. Place the hammock in a pillowcase to minimize damage to the fabric. To hand wash, place it in a bathtub with cold water and mild detergent. Scrub and rinse until refilled bath water runs clean. For hammocks without removable spreader bars, lay the hammock on a flat surface and use a low-pressure hose and mild detergent. Always hang your clean hammock to thoroughly air dry before re-using or storing.

What is the difference between a single, double or triple hammock?

Single hammocks are intended for use by one adult only, with a maximum weight capacity of 250-300 lbs. Double hammocks can be used by up to 2 adults, with a maximum total weight capacity of 450 lbs. And triple hammocks can be safely used by up to 3 adults, with a maximum total weight of 550 lbs.

Tea for two and two for tea!

When I opened the package, I was surprised because it was not the hammock I thought that I had ordered … it was the one beneath it or above it in the online catalog – I can't remember which. I blame that on the website layout; however, the color is neutral and looks great on my front porch. When I go camping, I do not use a tent; I use a hammock, so I am very used to it. Now all I have to do is get my S.O. to trust a hammock since this one is for two people!

Can't get either of my kids out of it... we now need 2!

My daughter wanted this for her birthday, and I'll say at first I was dubious. BUT... We hung this from a big branch in our backyard and our kids love it. It is comfortable and well made. You can easily adjust the height by wrapping the top loop a couple of times to give you fine control once you've got it up. We take ours down every night and hope to have many years of happy sitting.

2nd time - great

The first hammock that arrived had a broken wooden rod. I sent 2 photos and the people at Novica acouldn't have been nicer. They immediately contacted me - sent a replacement, made arrangements to ship a new one and it arrived today. It was much better packed and the wood dowel is intact.Also pick up of the broken one was prompt and easy Now I can't wait for spring to unwrap, which I am not doing till then so I hope it is okay as well. As for Novicea their service couldn't be better - prompt and efficient. Just hope there are no problems with the hammock when I finally unwrap. Service gets 5 stars easily
