My great grandparents immigrated from Ireland to America because of the potato famine in the mid-nineteenth century. My father worked as a railroad engineer early in his career. He would have liked these iron bookends upcycled from railroad spikes. Bravo!
I have loved ducks ever since I was a young child. I have many carved ones around my home and this one is a beautiful complement to them. It is exquisitely carved and the painting is done impeccably.
