Each taught by her respective mother, Rajnandinee and Srabonti combine their talents and skills in the stunning design of this tussar silk shawl. Resembling beehives, the imagery is masterfully block printed on the shawl in a bold palette of colors that includes deep lavender and ginger over alabaster.
Hand block printing is a millenary art form believed to have spread throughout Asia during the 4th century AD. The desired composition is carved on wooden block with a chisel, hammer, file, nails etc. Printing involves laying out the fabric on flat tables and making the impressions with the previously carved blocks dipped in the desired dyes.

I love this dress. It s very light weight and the design is beautiful. I am 5 8ā and wear between a 10-12. It s a little tight in the bust, but fits perfectly everywhere else. It s a definite keeper.
