Akoma of West Africa presents this wood mask and gives it the title Acheampong, which has several meanings depending upon the region, including "one that gives birth to kings" and "powerful and complete." Hand carved of sese wood with aluminium plates to add detailing around the cheeks and eyes, this wood mask is intended for use as wall decor and would add a sense of strength and power to any room.

I recently purchased the āAkoma Geometry scarf- it is exquisitely hand woven by the hands of a true artist. One can tell that so much of who she is was delicately āthreaded in each stitch. Stunningly beautiful work!
