Guatemalan artisan Mirian Zet crafts this lively beaded necklace from small white and multicolour glass beads, creating intricate flowers with gold-coloured centres strung on an array of cords. Working to create jobs and opportunities for local women, Mirian hopes to grow her artisanal craft shop that specializes in beaded jewellery, a traditional Guatemalan art that she learned from her grandparents while growing up near Lake Atitlan.
