Balinese Leaf Motif Sterling Silver Hoop Earrings, "Breadfruit Leaves"

The curving, lobed leaves of the breadfruit tree serve as inspiration for the design of these uncommon and alluring hoop earrings from Balinese artisan Made Darmada. A member of the fig family, breadfruit is one of many delightful tropical fruits found on the Indonesian isle, and the dark green foliage of the trees on which it grows often forms shady canopies. Looping lines and dots in sterling silver with a combination finish are used to recreate the leaf design. The earrings close with saddleback clasps.
