Add some cheerfulness to any room with this jovial ceramic elephant. Artisans from Kpando Pottery Fesi Shed craft the rotund pachyderm by hand and fire it in a wood-burning kiln. Removing the burning hot piece from the kiln, they plunge it into sawdust which bursts into flame, depriving the piece of oxygen and turning the clay dark.

Raku produces absolutely unique pieces and no two are ever alike. Thus variations in tone and surface texture are to be expected, confirming the uniqueness of each vase.
