The Indian artisan coves it with papier mache, and then sands and paints it carefully in exquisite detail. “Just gorgeous!!!”

I order this box and the round one and received them today. I have to say I am blown away by the beauty and craftsmanship of these little boxes! I got them to put jewelry gifts in but now Im very tempted to keep them for myself! Fida Hussain, you are very talented!

“These elephants and their tapestries are beautifully painted!”

I recall my friend from India gave me an elephant decor when I moved away. I certainly can imagine these ornaments as symbolic of carrying one of the wise men that Christians celebrate at Epiphany (January 6).
