Named Wayan Jantuk, a common name for women in Bali, this laughing mask is the creation of Nyoman Lasia. The Balinese artisan uses local hibiscus wood with an attractive natural grain to craft the mask, diligently carving its features by hand. Equipped with cotton and rubber cords, the mask is ready to hang anywhere you need a smile.

I absolutely love this sculpture. It is very light and airy but strong in expression. I got it to pair with a painting by Dadd and it is very apt. It is beautifully made and nice beautiful wood variations.
