Hand-Carved Suar Wood Ganesha Sculpture from Bali, "Ganesha the Magnificent"

In homage to the magnificent Hindu god Ganesha, Balinese artisan Wayan Nuliati creates a sculpture that is full of devotion. The elephant-headed god, known as "remover of obstacles," is carved by hand of suar wood. He features an impressive degree of detail that is lovingly achieved by the artisan's hands. Holding weapons, a scroll, and his favorite dessert in his four hands, Ganesha sits atop a lotus throne.
