An African mother cradles a water jug while carrying a baby on her back in Agnes Amponsah's stunning sculpture. The Ghanaian artisan hand carves the figures from rich ebony wood in stunning detail, then paints the surface in a polished black that gives the sculpture a sleek look.

Lovely box. Lid works, though open /close is tight at the hinge. Hope it will loosen with use and not wear on sides in that region too much.

This is a beautiful box, well designed and well made. The ebony is wonderfully dark and gives it a very satisfying weight when you hold it. I find myself smiling whenver I look at it.
