Gae sa lak is a traditional Thai sculptural process used in carving for decorative purposes. Kanda takes this method and apply it to a series of ceramic products, each one with floral and organic shapes hand-carved into the clay before the piece is fired. The vase is then glazed in the traditional celadon method, giving it rich pockets of glaze and a lightly crackled antique appearance.

I absolutely love the Green Beauty vase I received. It is currently in my living room and I stop to touch the intricate patterns on its surface every time I walk by.

A graceful, smooth, beautiful vase with that wonderful celadon finish. I love the design: the elephant-decorated base is lifted up from the bottom of the piece like a small platform. Surprisingly heavy for its size. Looks wonderful sitting next to Kandas celadon cat and small plate of the same color. My little touch of Thailand!

I had my jewelry in an op bowl and kept knocking Tham off my night stand onto the floor. For some reason just having the loud has stopped that. Plus, its gorgeous and nice to see no matter whats inside!
