Francis Agbete honours the birth of Christ through his incomparable sculpture art. Working with teak wood, the Ghanaian artisan sculpts a 14-piece nativity scene that includes Mary and Joseph kneeling next to an angel, followed by a camel and a shepherd standing up. A donkey lies down in front of the hut, and on the other side are the three Wise Kings with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Three sheep guard the manger where the Baby Jesus peacefully sleeps.

“Beautiful reminder of meaning of Christmas”

This is truly lovely with detailed workmanship. My parish and those surrounding (L.I.,N.Y.)often have a priest from Ghana. This reminds me of their deep faith and ministry they bring to us. I now will add to year round display in china cabinet of other Nativity scenes, including others from Novica. HIS presence is present.

“A Wonderful Addition to Our Nativity Collection”

This is a beautiful and unique Nativity - very well crafted! We love the setting with an African-style shelter for the stable, and African Holy Family. We will look forward to displaying this Nativity at Christmas time every year from now on.
