Inspired by the distinctive azulejo style of glazed tilework representative of the Iberian Peninsula, Peruvian artist Asunta Pelaez merges the colonial influences of the centuries-old reverse painted glass technique with a consciously distorted perspective. Pelaez paints her multicolour geometric design in honour of the Convent of Santo Domingo, Lima on the reverse side of a pane of glass that she places in a white-painted wooden frame.

The pretty fish seem to float in peaceful waters. I just want to swim with them. It is so beautiful. The art work is extremely creative. The colors somewhat merge together like a water color painting.
