Laurel Batik Silk Scarf from Bali, "Singa Laurel"

Presented as part of Melati's Collection in Bali, this wonderful silk scarf is named Singa, after an Indonesian mythological creature of protection. Against a body of laurel, a colourful floral garden is applied using the batik method, where a wax resist is stamped onto the fabric before it is submerged in colourful dye. This accessory arrives with a wood box accented with linen and suede.

For wrinkles, the artisan recommends ironing the scarf at a low temperature without water.
