The Petén Wood Artisan Sculptors draw on the natural beauty found in their native Guatemala to craft their beautiful pieces. For this appetizer bowl, the artisans select jobillo wood, which is native to the Petén region and distinctive with its dark rings. They carve the bowl in the shape of a jungle leaf that elegantly serves at your next party or get-together.

This is NOT an appetizer bowl, unless it is for one person. Entire bowl fits in palm of my hand. Good for holding a few rings or bracelets. Wood was not multicolored like photo, almost entirely tan in color. Well made overall.

This piece is for our church pianist. Our church is a Spanish language church with many people from Central America and the Caribbean. This gift, from a Latino artist, will mean so much! A personal touch!
