A unique fusion of Maya and Toltec styles, the chac mool depicts a reclining person holding a bowl. The first such figures were discovered in the late 1800s in a number of sites in Yucatán, and it is thought that the bowls received offerings to the gods. Oscar Figueroa Escorcia recreates the enigmatic image in petite sterling silver earrings accentuated with black enamel.

A bit larger than I anticipated, but I really like them. They almost look like ear gauges when I wear them.
