This beautifully-painted decorative wood box is the work of Indian artisan Niyaz, who was inspired by Persian carpet design. The small box is crafted of kail wood before being covered with papier mache and painted by hand with poster colours and pigments derived from natural flowers. The box features a velvet lining.

“Persian Mandala decorative wood box”

I used this beautiful box to hold a Christmas gift card for my granddaughter. The card fit just right. The workmanship on the box is beautiful and my granddaughter was happy with it.
