Animals, people and deities come to life on this replica of an ancient huaco, or clay vessel. By Walter Jose Acosta, this ceremonial vessel has two spouts, joined by a curved handle. He works in terracotta, meticulously painting the images by hand. A pre-Inca culture, the Nazca peoples were highly skilled ceramists and their pottery was usually covered with icons of their beliefs and lifestyles.

Phantastic work!”

My warmest Thanks to Walter Jose Acosta for this incredible and wonderful piece of art! Through my work as a film director, I came into contact with Nazca culture and was immediately enchanted and excited. These vessels are truly empathetic and authentically designed replica that resurrect this extinct culture. Many thanks to Walter for this time travel!

Maravilla nazca”

Fantástica cerámica , muestra la policromía , geometría y espíritu de esta maravillosa cultura , una dama mastica coca , con vestimenta de lujo , con aire coqueto y pintada para la ocasión , Walter captura la esencia preincaica del sur de Perú.
