Ghanaian designer Theophilus Sackey presents this eye-catching mask that is made using local sese wood. Theophilus works with local artisans who cut and carve the wood into the attractive design, before painting and polishing the mask. Intricate textured aluminum repoussé metalwork adorns the mask's cheeks and forehead. The name obra is an Akan word which means "life."
