This pendant necklace features an upside down hand, the symbol for protection in myriad cultures. Artisan Nancy Quispe of Peru designs this pendant using ribbons of sterling silver to create the hand and the six-pointed Star of David in the center of the hand. The openwork is filled with sterling silver filigree that has been oxidized to create contrast. The pendant hangs from a sterling silver cable chain.
