The traditional Talavera technique, which originated in Mexico in the 16th century, has created a long lineage of talented artisans that add a unique elegance to the world. Part of this big family, artisan Sergio Ponce shows today the natural side of this art style by handcrafting a ceramic pigeon flower pot featuring classic hacienda motifs and a lovely glacier blue base hue. The accessory, perfect for a tender garden, also has a little hole at the bottom, allowing for drainage.

Bought two of these go with other Talevera art. The antennae can be moved to stick out more and they arent flat so it gives the appearance of butterflies resting. Absolutely gorgeous work!
