By George Obeng, this handsome rustic accent table conveys the beauty of West African tradition. The table is crafted of native sese wood with wave motifs carved into the borders of its circular top. Three pillars form the base; they depict a ram's horn known as Dwennimen in the Twi language. Dwennimen is an adinkra symbol representing both strength and the humility needed to acquire knowledge.
Please note: the table features a deliberately distressed finish to give it an antiqued appearance.

I was so excited when I seen the bookends and learned what the meaning was. It gives me great joy to have them in my home.
