The flourishing valley of Kashmir comes alive in this beautiful box from designer Mohammad Hussain Baba. Presented in a smooth rectangular shape, the box is hand-crafted out of wood and layers of papier mache. After the papier mache has been dried and buffed, the box is then beautifully hand-painted with a design of dense greenery and lush petals. The paint is finished with a glossy lacquer coating, and the inside and bottom of the box are painted black.

You can set a glass down on any old thing, but these coasters are little works of art, each one beautifully designed and crafted. The design and colors are eye catching. The box that they are contained in is admirable on its own. This is a wonderful detail for my living room. Once again, thank you to the artist, Mohammad, for the beautiful work.
