Three boys spend a lazy Sunday afternoon at the beach, relaxing in a boat near the stone jetty. "This painting is inspired by a beloved memory from my childhood," Antonio Marquez confides. "We played in the boats on the shore with our friends... Remembering this beautiful summer afternoon brings peace to my soul — the colours that create an atmosphere of rest and pleasure in life.

"I share my own view of peace with much affection. It's a reencounter with myself, and the essence of that which makes — or made — us truly happy."
