The purple looks as if it's dyed leaves. Such a rich, dark purple. The button is attached securely. The handmade paper is a bonus. I can't wait to use as a sketch book or journal in my travel bag. Very well made. Pretty enough to leave out on desk top. It would make a lovely gift for an artist, poet or anyone who likes to jot down their muses in a one of a kind notebook. Beautiful piece of craftmanship

Beautiful piece. Was a gift to my mother and she loved it. It's not too big or small. The craftmanship is superb. You can feel the spirit of the mother holding her child with love. It is a unique and lovely piece of art.
