I was a little concerned that this might be too ?cute,? but it isn?t. It?s exotic and strange in the way birds are strange. Colors are more vibrant too. Beautiful and detailed from every angle.

Extremely delicate paintwork

I really like these lacquer boxes for their unusal shape (square, oval and round being the norm) and the intrincate and minute brushwork of the painting. It is delicate and minimal at the same time to cumpliment modern and minimalist interiors.
