This wood sculpture of Barong is quite eye-catching. I am continually fascinated with this sculpture, and I find myself frequently staring at the amazing detail. Made Mulyani is extremely gifted and her work reflects both her talent and commitment to bring beauty to the world.
I love this artist's sculptures of people. She seems able to capture and preserve those special moments. I've given a number of these away, and everyone is always awed by them and seem to really treasure them.
Although the wood is beautiful and the carving stunning, I can feel the
"movement" of the dance - the carving seems "alive" and memorializes my bride & groom's first dance. Lovely. Thak You
