These elephants and their tapestries are beautifully painted!
I recall my friend from India gave me an elephant decor when I moved away. I certainly can imagine these ornaments as symbolic of carrying one of the "wise men" that Christians celebrate at Epiphany (January 6).
I bought this to hang on my doorknob (inside) so I can hear the door open and close...works great and looks pretty.
The hanging loop is a little small for a standard doorknob as it was meant to be a mobile or wind chime to hang on a hook, so I just use a ribbon of my own, to tie it on the doorknob.
I gave these little elephant that are more green than blue as a gift. They are too cute and brought joy to the receiver. We watched the process of how they were made and it was fascinating. A lot of loving care to make. Gifted artist.
