Not only is the detail on the front gorgeous - the back has a beautiful filagree design that allows you to see the larimar there as well. Few artists demonstrate such care and detail on the back of a pendant! It is not too heavy and just the right size if you don?t want a huge pendant.
This was given to me as a birthday present. I chose this over the inferior and overpriced pendants in department stores because of the attention to detail and knowing that this purchase will help Mr. Krainer?s work. This certainly would make a great heirloom piece.
This is darker than in the photo, but matches the set. I bought these for my young daughter so that she could have her own set and it makes her look like a Mayan princess. I took a few links out so it would fit well around her little neck and I will put them back in as she grows. Same goes for the bracelet. We have small necks and wrists so I have to take a link out for bracelets and two for necklaces for myself.
Anyway, this is the cutest set. It's classic and a rich jaguar green, but also very cute and appropriate, in my opinion, for any age.
