Volviendo la cabeza sobre sí misma, este pájaro se convierte en el Sankofa símbolo que recuerda recuperar del pasado aquello que es útil, y llevarlo adelante. Asmah se inspira en los legendarios símbolos Adinkra de origen Ashanti para tallar esta espectacular escultura en madera de sesé. Sosteniendo una semilla en su pico, el pájaro tiene alas coloridas tachonadas con cuentas de vidrio reciclado y patrones grabados en su largo cuello. La base está incrustada con motivos de latón.

This sculpture of the Benin Oba is rare, but the item I received did not have the richness of the picture. Also the sculptures coloring on the neck had bed a-lot when the item arrived. This was going to be a culmination moment of my current collection. .
