La práctica andina de mate burilado que significa "calabaza grabada" es famosa; Los mates que se encuentran en la parte norte del Perú se secan y luego se cincelan para crear escenas de la vida, figuras geométricas e imágenes. El artesano emplea estas técnicas tradicionales para darle a los búhos sus rasgos y plumas, y para darle un toque único, agrega tinte rojo natural al frente de los pájaros.

“Attractive and unique”

These owl gourds look great on our tree. Everyone who sees them comments on how attractive and interesting they are. The deep red is very Christmasy and the craftsmanship is great.
