Esta excelente escultura de delfines es la creación original de artesanos oaxacanos. Jesus and Roxana Hernandez. Trabajan en el estilo de arte popular de alebrijes tallar la figura en madera de copal y pintarla meticulosamente a mano.

La tradición del arte popular de los alebrijes se remonta a la década de 1930 en la Ciudad de México. Un hombre llamado Pedro Linares enfermó y en sus sueños febriles vio una tierra extraña poblada de criaturas curiosas: un burro con alas, un gallo con cuernos de toro y un león con cabeza de perro. Todas las bestias corrieron hacia él, gritando la palabra sin sentido "¡alebrije! ¡alebrije!". Tras su recuperación, Linares comenzó a recrear las criaturas fantásticas que había visto en su sueño en papel maché. La forma de arte ganó popularidad y ahora los alebrijes se hacen tanto de madera como de papel maché.
