Los jeroglíficos pintados a mano cuentan la historia del personaje caído, generalmente con números para indicar fechas. Los artesanos modernos utilizan los mismos materiales y técnicas que en la época prehispánica, logrando los colores rojo, amarillo y naranja de las semillas de achiote.

This is perhaps the best of the Mayan masks of this type. Its a great size. The figure almost looks like he is sleeping. Im very happy to have it.
