Una novia y un novio esqueléticos están representados en la parte superior y el frente de la caja de madera de pino, en homenaje a José Guadalupe Posada. la calavera catrina. El baúl pequeño cuenta con dos cajones para guardar pequeños tesoros.

La "Calavera Catrina" original fue un grabado en zinc creado por el artista José Guadalupe Posada en México alrededor de 1910. Posada creó el personaje, un esqueleto femenino con un sombrero elegante, como un retrato satírico de los nativos mexicanos que aspiraban al estilo europeo y negaban su propio patrimonio. Desde entonces, la catrina se ha convertido en un emblema de la celebración del Día de Muertos en México y en un tema de arte popular popular.
