Esta magnífica escultura ecológica es la creación original del artista mexicano Armando Ramirez, que transforma piezas de automóviles recicladas y chatarra en extraordinarias obras de arte. Esta impresionante estatua de catrina está elegantemente vestida con un vestido largo, un elegante sombrero de retrato y joyas. Lleva un bolso con un toque floral. Haciendo una declaración para preservar el medio ambiente, Ramírez crea la estatua con restos de láminas de metal y mallas metálicas, cadenas y otros desechos variados.

La original "La Calavera Catrina" fue un grabado en zinc creado por el artista José Guadalupe Posada en México alrededor de 1910. Posada creó el personaje, un esqueleto femenino con un elegante sombrero, como un retrato satírico de los nativos mexicanos que aspiraban al estilo europeo y negaban su propia herencia. Desde entonces, la catrina se ha convertido en un emblema de la celebración del Día de Muertos en México y en un tema de arte popular popular.
