Representado en el Códice Florentino, así como en pinturas históricas, el guerrero jaguar cobra vida en cerámica. Artesanos de la Asociación de Artesanos Ángel Cerón lo retratan portando un antifaz que representa al felino moteado. Estos guerreros formaban una de las divisiones de élite del ejército azteca. A un lado está la piedra del sol azteca, descubierta en la Ciudad de México y expuesta en el Museo Nacional de Antropología e Historia.

Los aztecas (o mexicas, como se llamaban a sí mismos) creían que el sol luchaba a diario contra las fuerzas de la oscuridad. Ayudaron al sol a través de sacrificios humanos.

“Tezcatlipoca is amazing”

Ive ordered several of these Codex pieces from Angel Ceron Artisan and they are beautiful works of art. Tezcatlipoca is amazing and I am lucky to have gotten one before they sold out. I have several others including Tlaloc and Quetzalcoatl, etc. They are incredible and worth every penny. I can say that the packaging they come in is 100% secure and that I am always amazed at how professionally they are packaged and shipped. They come from Mexico and always come with a hand written note on a postcard from Palenque.
