Una mujer de la nobleza maya se sienta sobre una base en esta escultura de Guatemala, tallada a mano en madera de cedro al estilo de las esculturas tradicionales de estilo jainista. Jaina se refiere a una pequeña isla frente a la costa de México donde se encontró una colección de tallas y esculturas precolombinas. El artesano guatemalteco Nicolás Chávez Sojuel emula el estilo jaina, agregando detalles culturales al tema, como un cráneo agrandado, cicatrices en las mejillas y pequeños bultos en el hombro izquierdo, indicativos de las antiguas alteraciones corporales mayas que eran populares en ese momento.
