El artesano Luis Morales de México elabora una notable Catrina de cerámica para adornar su repisa o repisa. Formado a mano con arcilla, su conjunto hace referencia al del personaje principal de la película de 1944, María Candelaria. Su vestido está cuidadosamente pintado de color púrpura con flores lilas y adornos de encaje dorado. Su cabello está trenzado y sostiene una canasta llena de frutas y verduras.

La elegante figura se basa en un grabado satírico creado por el artista mexicano José Guadalupe Posada alrededor de 1910-1913. Con su aguafuerte, Posada se burlaba de aquellos nativos mexicanos que intentaban emular las modas y hábitos de la aristocracia europea. Hoy, la catrina se ha convertido en el ícono instantáneamente reconocible del Día de Muertos en México.

“Very fashionable for a Catrina ??”

If you like Catrina s, you ll love this one. I m a collector of different types of Catrina s. I wasn t sure if I would like it as much as the others, the style is quite different BUT I love it. She s nicely made and came in great shape. I like this Artist so I bought 2 others!

“Unbelievable quality every step of the way!”

My sister wanted a Day of Dead Lady, so I had different quality to choose from. Well, La Catrina Espinoza arrived today and I am stilled stunned at the quality of packing! It was amazingly solid. And the figure herself? She is nothing short of magnificent from top to bottom. I give this company and the artisans a million stars. This company is the real deal! Thank you! My sister has no idea she is getting an absolute work of art

“A beautiful Catrina.”

This is a very nice Catrina. What impressed me the most is that given my past experience with this type of ceramics, I was hesitant to order it just because I was afraid it may not make it on the shipping. Well, I had to use my old dissection skills to unwrap it. The packaging was superbly done. Now to the piece, it is as beautiful as it shows in the picture. It is elegant and genuinely coqueta.

Coqueta! Impressibly beautiful! Just display it where you can enjoy her view I got mine in the dining room
